Marcel Marceau, letter received, May 1984
S.F. the 2nd of May

Dear Lissa,

Thank you for your letter—I arrived late at the theater when you will receive this one it will be the end of the week we fly out of S.F. Sunday night—It is a pity that you wrote so late—we shall meet next time—What happened to your work? Are you happy with the theatre and your personal life? and the experience of Japan what did it bring to you beside the fact of learning a language and knowing more about the country and its people! Does it help you in your work and life? I wish it does—Here the show has been very well received and I have a lot of new material. I wish you could see the show but you must be busy too with your work.

I keep in my heart my memory of you. It was a moment which passed so quickly, but a poetic wind or breeze came to my soul for too brief moments.

I embrace, and keep you warmly in my heart. All my love always.

Your Bif
Who does not forget you. Write if you can.
Always yours,
Fondly,
Marcel Marceau
